Why we are starting this blog
We post a lot on our social media about the mental health challenges facing our First Responders, Military members, Veterans and their families. But, we are limited in character count and video length on those platforms! The First Responder and military population may be small, but they are a critical piece to our country, communities, our lives and safety. So, the challenges and issues that face their population deserve more than just 1,200 characters of explanation. We want to support our First Responders, Military members, and Veterans and we want to educate as many people as possible.
What you will see in our posts
We will cover a few subjects like our business and the mental health profession. We will also dedicate our posts to the common mental health challenges and issues facing our First Responder, Military, and Veteran communities. This will include topics like stress, trauma, PTSD, depression and anxiety, suicide, and homelessness. We know these can be heavy topics, but our goal is not only to entertain you with fun mental health posts, but also educate you in these areas. Look out for new blog posts on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month!
Follow along for the journey
We are so excited to be starting this blog and hopefully increasing our reach to as many people as possible! Mental health is so important and we need to end the stigma of getting help, especially in our first responder and military community. There is always HOPE and seeking help is STRENGTH.
