Law Enforcement Assessments
As of 7/1/22 Maryland Code, Public Safety § 3-209 – Certification of Police Officers states “As a condition of certification, a police officer shall submit to a mental health assessment every 2 years.”
Branch of Hope is able to provide these state mandated mental health assessments on an individual or contractual basis. These assessments may include symptom screening, discussion of healthy coping skills, review of strengths and distressing experiences, as well as psychoeducation.

Individual: $250/assessment or by contract with department
Employee Assistance Program Support
Maryland Code, Public Safety § 3-209 – " Each law enforcement agency shall provide access to an employee assistance program for all police officers whom the law enforcement agency employs."
Branch of Hope can support you in this requirement by providing your department with access to confidential mental health services, including counseling services, crisis counseling, stress management counseling, resiliency sessions, and peer support services for police officers.
Initial Fee: $300 (covers the retainer and first two-hours of
services)
$150/hr after the first two hours of services
$75/hr of travel

Clinical Supervision
Sarah is a Maryland Board of Social Work approved supervisor – able to provide clinical supervision to Maryland Licensed Masters Social Workers (LMSWs) who require supervision towards their next licensure.
Sarah is able to contract individually with the social worker, or through their employer.

Individual: $75/hr
Group: $45/hr
Workshops & Training Programs
Branch of Hope owner, Sarah, has over a decade of experience in the spectrum of suicide risk. This includes suicide prevention, intervention and postvention.
Branch of Hope is able to facilitate workshops and training focused around the suicide spectrum. As well as, advanced safety planning, crisis response and de-escalation, and training for first responders focused on supporting Veteran's in crisis.
In-person: $150/hr + travel
Virtual: $175/hr
+$25/hr for trainings over 50 people

Clinical Consultation
Given that Sarah has significant experience working, training and developing materials related to suicide risk, crisis response and de-escalation she is able to provide consultation to other clinicians on how to respond to certain situations, develop personnel responsibilities and more.

Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)
This is a formal, highly structured and professionally recognized intervention protocol and process for helping those involved in a critical incident to share their experiences, emotions, learn about stress reactions and symptoms and given referral for further help if needed.
This was first developed for use with military combat veterans and then civilian first responders (police, fire, ambulance, emergency workers and disaster rescuers), but can be adapted and used virtually everywhere there is a need to address traumatic events people have experienced.
